Open Access Philosophy of Public Health Review

PHR is an open access, web-based journal. Manuscripts accepted for publication are posted on the web site upon final acceptance. As an open access journal, PHR does not require authors to transfer full copyright ownership to the journal as a condition of publication. Authors will grant a nonexclusive license in their work to PHR and the University of Minnesota Libraries. Such a license gives PHR and the Libraries the necessary rights to publish, distribute, archive, and preserve the work. However, since the license is non-exclusive, all of the rights will still also belong to the creator, who may make any use they wish, and may grant other licenses as desired. The result of this license agreement is that the author, PHR, and the Libraries will each have broad rights to the work.

Copyright and Use of Articles

Authors will grant a nonexclusive license in their work to Public Health Review and the University of Minnesota Libraries.

In addition, authors will agree to Creative Commons license to their work using:

CC BY-NC - Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial. This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, and although their new works must also acknowledge you and be non-commercial, they don’t have to license their derivative works on the same terms. Non-commercial users will not have to contact you before making use of your work, but because you will retain copyright ownership, commercial users may contact you for separate permissions.
