Abstract
The First-Year Testing, Consulting, and Advising Program at Penn State introduces students to academic advising and the university's academic structure. The initial interactions with academic advisors at FTCAP helps students recognize the role academic advisors can play in their educations. When coupled with an academic structure that facilitates student movement among enrollment units, students are supported to persist at the university even if their academic goals change.Metrics
