Abstract

This session will be co-presented by a teacher from Stavanger, Norway and a faculty member from Hamline University. It includes a collection of open-source data visualizations that were used during a 2014-15 Fulbright grant as a means to illustrate patterns and connections across both countries. Participants will have the chance to experiment with these interactive tools and talk with one another about using them with student groups of any size – whether face-to-face or online. They will theorize about trends at the county, state and national-level while also developing an understanding of the history and the future of our world.
