Abstract
This session will focus on creating icebreakers for your online or face-to-face course that engage your students, create a sense of community and set the stage for future discussions. Participants will learn how to design icebreakers that will have their students producing multi-media posts and introductions. This session will also give you excellent examples of how you can meet Quality Matters Standards for your online course with creative student and faculty introductions. Real classroom ideas, best practices and examples will be provided.

Robin O'Callaghan, Winona State University
Robin O'Callaghan is a Senior Instructional Designer at Winona State University and Co-Coordinator of the Minnesota Online Quality Initiative. She is currently teaching for WSU and an Intro to Social Media graduate course at the University of Florida. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience in online and face-to-face courses.
