Abstract

Teacher licensure requirements now call for video recordings for assessment. In the attempts to support students in the CEHD licensure program, we put together a “iPad Video Kit” to allow them to record and produce videos quickly and easily for submission. The “iPad Video Kit” is simply a small collection of equipment intended to simplify the use of an iPad for high quality video production. Bundled together and available for checkout to students, staff, or faculty, the kit becomes a useful toolset for media creation for online delivery. In this presentation we’ll demonstrate how the equipment works together and some of the apps available for production. In addition, we’ll cover some workflow recommendations and show off some case studies of not only teacher assessment videos but also digital storytelling assignments completed with the iPad video kit.
