Abstract
In the past, math education has largely focused on computation. Typical exam questions asked students to find a numerical value or mathematical function from a given formula or algorithm. This is largely the realm of computers in today’s world. Instead, we should be focused on modeling, problem-solving and communication and need activities that engage students in exploration.
