Abstract
In this small group session participants will design algorithms to process typical school-related topics (no prior knowledge of computer science required). We will identify characteristics of the best programmers and programs as we review team algorithms. Discussion of attributes of human experience that "count" and those that "don't get counted." We will look at the issues of the current reality in terms of social justice and imagine what actions might lead to a changed future where the emphasis is on serving the common good and preserving democracy.
