About University of Minnesota Libraries Publishing
University of Minnesota Libraries Publishing is here to support our affiliates' creation of scholarly works. The University Libraries offers University of Minnesota affiliated authors and editors options for publishing the following types of original scholarly content: open journal publishing, open book-length works, open educational resources (e.g., e-textbooks), digital publishing services for conferences, and interactive scholarly products.
Any individual faculty member, staff member, student*, department, center, or college associated with the University of Minnesota Twin Cities' campus may publish scholarly content with the University of Minnesota Libraries Publishing. We will also support the publication of materials that have been edited or sponsored by University of Minnesota-affiliated departments, research units, individual faculty members, staff, or graduate students. For example, a journal edited by a UMN faculty member or sponsored by a UMN department may publish articles written by scholars outside the UMN-Twin Cities campus. Similarly, a UMN research unit may publish the proceedings from a hosted conference, regardless of the institutional affiliation of conference attendees.
The goal of University of Minnesota Libraries Publishing is to develop sustainable models to support the creation, production and dissemination of faculty, student, and staff produced digital scholarship and advance institutional interests through more open strategies.
